About

Spork Beauty strives to pick up where Spork Fashion leaves off. Spork Fashion will dress you; Spork Beauty will primp you. Like Spork Fashion, our focus here at Spork Beauty is threefold:

  • Spotlight new, indie, and up-and-coming cosmetic, skin care, and body lines
  • Highlight new and innovative products that are unlike things you may see at your local Macy’s counter
  • Feature products that the average woman (or man) can afford.

If you have or represent a product or line you think would work on Spork Beauty, you can fill out our application.

You can also reach us at info@sporkbeauty.com

    Disclaimer:

Products react differently to every skin type, color, body chemistry, etc. Just because I have a good result with something doesn’t mean yours will be the same; similarly, I may hate a product that works perfectly for you.

To help you better understand how each product reacts, I have listed some “vital stats” about my skin and hair.

    Skin Type (face)
    Combination – normal to oily

    Skin Type (body)
    Normal, with occasional mild dryness

    Skin Color
What color is lighter than “pale?” How about “translucent?”

    Eye Color
    Grayish Green

    Hair Type
Full, healthy, naturally wavy, mildly frizzy. Untreated, unprocessed.

    Hair Color
Red. Darker auburn in winter; lighter golden in the summer.

    Nails
Average at best. For the most part healthy, but can sometimes be weak and flexible. Don’t even ask about the toenails – I was a competitive figure skater. You do the math.

    Fragrances
Call me a snob, but most anything you can pick up at the Macy’s counter makes me nauseated. Favorites include Kai, Philosophy’s Amazing Grace, Child, and Roberto Cavalli.

    Allergies?
I have sensitive lips, so I have to be careful with lip products. I cannot use Avon, Mary Kay, or Tony + Tina products. Also, I am sensitive to tea tree oil.
